EMERGENCY GENERATING PLANT
The emergency generating plant is placed above the weather deck and consists of:
One(1) generating set Northern Lights, model M1066T of 230/400 Volt 50 Hz with an output of 100 kVA / 80 kW.
SHORE CONNECTION – TRANSFORMER 175 kVA
A shore connection suitable for an input voltage of 3×380 Volt3 x 400 Volt 3 x 415 Volt 50 Hz is provided. Input current is limited to 250 Amps.
An isolating transformer IP23 Dyn5 of 175 kVA at 45 °C. ambient temperature with static earthen screen between the windings is fitted.

REDUCTION GEARBOXES
Two (2) reduction gearboxes make Reintjes type WAF 563 with a reduction of about 5,947: 1.
Gears are manufactured according to DIN 3962 Q.4.
A valve and coupling will be provided on each gearbox cooling system for emergency cooling.
SHAFTING AND PROPELLERS
The propeller shafts and intermediate shafts are made of steel grade AISI431. Dimensions are according to the
requirements of LREMEA.
Shafts are in sections connected by hydraulic couplings.
Torsional and lateral vibration calculations of the complete shaft line, including engine and propeller, are carried out.
STERN TUBES, THRUST BEARINGS AND SEALS
The shaft line is partly oil lubricated and partly water lubricated. The oil lubrication system is equipped with header tanks to ensure supply of oil and deaeration. The shaft line outside the vessel is seawater lubricated.
The stern tubes are executed in steel and incorporate the thrust bearings, bulkhead penetration and shaft seals.

FIXED PITCH PROPELLERS
The propellers have five (5) blades and a certain amount of skew. The propellers are casted of CuNiAl bronze and
mounted, with hydraulic pressure, on the conical shaft stubs and locked with nuts. Propellers are ISO class 1.
BOWTHRUSTER
One (1) electrically driven bowthruster with air injection system is fitted in the bowthruster compartment. The angular gear of the propeller is driven by a reversible 3 step controlled A.C. slip ring motor with IP23 protection. The control cabinet is installed near the electric motor. A lub oil header tank is fitted close to the bowthruster.
The hull is properly faired to the bowthruster tunnel to minimize drag. Stainless steel removable grills protect the openings of the bowthruster tunnel.

PUMPS
All pumps are electrically driven unless mentioned otherwise. All pumps are placed in drip trays which drain to the dirty oil tank for oil pumps and that drain to the bilge for water pumps, drip trays executed in steel. Bilge, fuel oil and sewage pumps can be isolated between valves and are equipped with a pressure and a vacuum gauge and are resiliently mounted and connected.
Pumps are fitted with mechanical seals.

The winch is suitable for 22 mm V2 stud link chain. The anchor winch has a twospeed electric motor for a working/hauling force of 26 kN at 9m/min or 13 kN at 18 m/min.

The tender boats can be launched and retrieved by means of crane on the fore deck. The crane is

stored inside.

A dedicated freshwater tank for the system is integrated in the construction a change over valve is fitted to supply the system with seawater.
The Yacht is divided in separate fire zones. Each zone is connected with a highpressure supply separated with zone
isolation solenoid valves. Each compartment which is protected with water mist, is provided with nozzles to provide the equivalent of a drench system.
The HP lines between the isolation valves are made of stainless steel (AISI 304 or 316) and are dry (when not in use) in the engine room and wet in the accommodation. The section valves are used for flushing and testing of the system.
The galley exhaust hood is provided with a CO2 fire extinguishing system.
A dedicated water mist sprinkler is fitted at the deep fat fryer in the galley.
The galley has a local fire control panel for use by the crew incorporating a local alarm.
The hifog nozzles in the beach club are recessed.
Inserts for central AV locker nozzles will be minimum 79 deg. C.
SPECIAL FEATURES
HELIPAD
Helicopter Touch & Go Pad is capable to land a helicopter of 2000kg max. The landing area is covered
with a natural teak deck, equipped with three (3) inserts to be used for sunbrellas. The helipad is not
certified for commercial usage.
OWNERS STATEROOM BALCONY
A hydraulically operated balcony is installed on starboard side in the owner’s stateroom. The hydraulic
power pack is located in the engine room. The balcony has safety logic with master and local control.
