MAIN GENERATING PLANT 230/400 VOLTS
The main generating plant contains:
Two (2) main diesel generator sets Northern Lights, model M1066H of 230/400 Volt 50
Hz with an output of 194 kVA /155kW.
Engines are equipped with:
— 24volt DC starting system
— Powerviews
The diesel generator sets are arranged for continuous parallel running and suitable for equal sharing of the load by the running sets. Each generator can serve as an automatic standby for the other generator and shore.

EMERGENCY GENERATING PLANT
The emergency generating plant is placed above the weather deck and consists of:
One(1) generating set Northern Lights, model M1066T of 230/400 Volt 50 Hz with an output of 100 kVA / 80 kW.

SHORE CONNECTION – TRANSFORMER 175 kVA
A shore connection suitable for an input voltage of 3×380 Volt3 x 400 Volt 3 x 415 Volt 50 Hz is provided. Input current is limited to 250 Amps.
An isolating transformer IP23 Dyn5 of 175 kVA at 45 °C. ambient temperature with static earthen screen between the windings is fitted.
Primary connection: three phases
Primary voltage: 3×415 Volt with tap at 400 Volt and 380 Volt
Nominal frequency: 50 Hz
Secondary connection: three phases with neutral
Secondary voltage: 3×230/400 Volt

REDUCTION GEARBOXES
Two (2) reduction gearboxes make Reintjes type WAF 563 with a reduction of about 5,947: 1.
Gears are manufactured according to DIN 3962 Q.4.
A valve and coupling will be provided on each gearbox cooling system for emergency cooling.

SHAFTING AND PROPELLERS
The propeller shafts and intermediate shafts are made of steel grade AISI431. Dimensions are according to the
requirements of LREMEA.
Shafts are in sections connected by hydraulic couplings.
Torsional and lateral vibration calculations of the complete shaft line, including engine and propeller, are carried out.

STERN TUBES, THRUST BEARINGS AND SEALS
The shaft line is partly oil lubricated and partly water lubricated. The oil lubrication system is equipped with header tanks to ensure supply of oil and deaeration. The shaft line outside the vessel is seawater lubricated.
The stern tubes are executed in steel and incorporate the thrust bearings, bulkhead penetration and shaft seals.

FIXED PITCH PROPELLERS
The propellers have five (5) blades and a certain amount of skew. The propellers are casted of CuNiAl bronze and
mounted, with hydraulic pressure, on the conical shaft stubs and locked with nuts. Propellers are ISO class 1.

BOWTHRUSTER
One (1) electrically driven bowthruster with air injection system is fitted in the bowthruster compartment. The angular gear of the propeller is driven by a reversible 3 step controlled A.C. slip ring motor with IP23 protection. The control cabinet is installed near the electric motor. A lub oil header tank is fitted close to the bowthruster.
The hull is properly faired to the bowthruster tunnel to minimize drag. Stainless steel removable grills protect the openings of the bowthruster tunnel.

PUMPS
All pumps are electrically driven unless mentioned otherwise. All pumps are placed in drip trays which drain to the dirty oil tank for oil pumps and that drain to the bilge for water pumps, drip trays executed in steel. Bilge, fuel oil and sewage pumps can be isolated between valves and are equipped with a pressure and a vacuum gauge and are resiliently mounted and connected.
Pumps are fitted with mechanical seals.

HOT WATER BOILERS
For domestic hot water supply two (2) calorifiers are installed.

Two (2)stage heating with thermostats, pilot lights, 400 Volt elements.

WATERMAKERS
Two (2) reverse osmosis water makers are installed, complete with sand filter at the inlet and mineral filter at the fresh water outlet. Attention is paid to accessibility of the filter elements and general maintenance.
Capacity each approx. 7.000 l per 24 hours @ 25°C.

STABILIZERS

The stabilizers work both underway and at anchor, and they are controlled by a dedicated hydraulic pack and control
system.

ANCHOR WINCH AND EQUIPMENT
One (1) electric anchor winch is fitted on the fore deck. The winch has a horizontal shaft with two (2) cast iron cable lifters and two (2) stainless steel polished warping heads. The winch is suitable for 22 mm V2 stud link chain. The anchor winch has a twospeed electric motor for a working/hauling force of 26 kN at 9m/min or 13 kN at 18 m/min.

ANCHORS AND CHAINS
Two (2) galvanised steel HHP anchors are fitted in anchor pockets in the bow.

Each anchor is connected to the anchor chain by means of a Dtype
shackle and swivel.
The chain lengths are coupled to each other with Kenter type joining shackles and are marked every 27,5 m. The bitter
end of the chain is mounted outside the chain locker and has a quick release device inside the forepeak.

JIB TYPE CRANE
The tender boats can be launched and retrieved by means of crane on the fore deck. The crane is
equipped with a dedicated hydraulic power pack, operated at 400VAC. Make: van Driel crane is operated
from a remote control box which is wired to a ships connection box. Cable length 10 m. The control box is
stored inside.
The fore deck is provided with a jib type crane, with:
Safe Working Load of 2.100 kg at 5.8 m MCA approved

The fore deck crane is equipped with top lights and serves also as a fore mast.

TRANSOM DOOR CRANE
The crane is integrated in the construction of the transom door frame. The swinging arm is hydraulically driven (see
section 6680). An electrically driven winch is provided for hoisting and lowering. The crane is operated by a remote control, connected in the technical space (cable length approx. 10 m).

TENDERS, BOATS
1 x 7,2m Pascoe DT, 250HP, inboard engine.

LIFE RAFTS
Four (4) sixteen (16) persons inflatable life rafts with hydrostatic releases are provided and are installed on the sun deck in stainless steel cradles. Equipment and life rafts according to section 0010.

LIFE SAVING APPLIANCES
Life saving equipment is provided according to the regulations of CISR and include the following items:
Eight (8) life buoys, two (2) with 30m safety line, two (2) with light and two (2) with smoke signal and light
Twentyeight (28) life jackets
Four (4) life jackets for children
One (1) set of twelve (12) parachute flares
One (1) set of four (4) linethrowing appliances

FIXED FIRE FIGHTING INSTALLATIONS
An approved highpressure water mist fire extinguishing system is installed, protecting the engine room, accommodation and beach club. The highpressure unit is placed in a separated technical space in the aft ship consisting of:
One (1) skid mounted electrical pump unit
Three (3) electrical motors, two (2) on duty, one (1) on standby
Four (4) hp pumps, two (2) connected to each motor
One (1) accumulator unit

A dedicated freshwater tank for the system is integrated in the construction a change over valve is fitted to supply the system with seawater.
The Yacht is divided in separate fire zones. Each zone is connected with a highpressure supply separated with zone
isolation solenoid valves. Each compartment which is protected with water mist, is provided with nozzles to provide the equivalent of a drench system.
The HP lines between the isolation valves are made of stainless steel (AISI 304 or 316) and are dry (when not in use) in the engine room and wet in the accommodation. The section valves are used for flushing and testing of the system.
The galley exhaust hood is provided with a CO2 fire extinguishing system.
A dedicated water mist sprinkler is fitted at the deep fat fryer in the galley.
The galley has a local fire control panel for use by the crew incorporating a local alarm.
The hifog nozzles in the beach club are recessed.
Inserts for central AV locker nozzles will be minimum 79 deg. C.

SPECIAL FEATURES
HELIPAD
Helicopter Touch & Go Pad is capable to land a helicopter of 2000kg max. The landing area is covered
with a natural teak deck, equipped with three (3) inserts to be used for sunbrellas. The helipad is not
certified for commercial usage.
OWNERS STATEROOM BALCONY
A hydraulically operated balcony is installed on starboard side in the owner’s stateroom. The hydraulic
power pack is located in the engine room. The balcony has safety logic with master and local control.
Removable stainless steel stanchions with wires are provided and are installed once the balcony is fully
deployed.

The crew accommodation includes the following spaces:
LOWER DECK
Below lower deck a small technical space is fitted with the compressors for the cold and freeze room, with some storage space. Storage lockers are located in the corridor. The crew cabins (6 double and 1 single), crew mess and laundry, stairs to the main deck aft and escape are located at the fore side of the accommodation.
MAIN DECK
Galley and pantry, the crew entrance from the main deck at PS, corridor with locker, crew staircase to lower deck and bridge deck.
BRIDGE DECK
Wheelhouse, corridor, captain’s office, cabin and bathroom, pantry.

FIXED DECK FURNITURE
Sunbathing and seating areas are provided as shown on the General Arrangement Plan. Fixed seating is built from
aluminium. The Owners supplied items are marked (OS).
The sunbathing area in front of the wheelhouse should only be used by adults and when the Yacht is safely anchored or moored in quiet water. The height of the railings does not comply with the regulations. The view from the wheelhouse might be obstructed and does not comply with the regulations.

In the portside forward recess a steam room with shower is provided. The bathroom fittings are fitted as normally required. At starboard side a fridge and sink with hot and cold water are provided.
